Digital Multimeter Measurement

(1) Preparation

There are many types of multimeters, and make preparations for measurement before using the CD4050BE. Move to familiarize with the functions of the switch, knob, jack, etc. and the range of each functional area. Investigate whether the 2500V connected to the two red and black pens is correct. The red meter pen is inserted into the "+" jack, and the black meter pen is inserted into the "one" jack. Some multimeters measure the DC 2500V high-voltage measurement terminal. When the high pressure is measured, the black meter pen does not move, and the red meter pen is inserted into the high voltage jack.

(2) Measurement of voltage

The measurement of voltage is divided into measurement of DC voltage and measurement of AC voltage.

The steps for DC voltage measurement (such as battery, walkman power, etc.) are as follows

0 First insert the black meter pen into the “COM” hole of the multimeter, and the red meter pen into the “VQ” hole of the multimeter. Cypress switched the multimeter's gear knob to DC voltage “V1”, and then turned the knob to a larger range than the estimated value (note: the values on the dial are the maximum range).

Then connect the test leads to both ends of the power supply or battery and keep the contact stable.

竺 Read the measured value directly on the display. If the measured value shows “1_”, the range is too small. If L" appears to the left of the value, it indicates that the polarity of the test lead is opposite to the polarity of the actual power supply. In this case, the red lead is connected to the negative terminal.

The AC voltage measurement procedure is as follows:

First, insert the black meter pen into the "COM" hole of the multimeter and the red meter pen into the "V ()" hole of the multimeter. Then call the multimeter's gear knob to the AC voltage range “V~”, then adjust the knob to a larger range than the estimated value.谬 Then connect the test leads to both ends of the power supply (the AC voltage is not positive or negative) and then read the measurement values from the display. Regardless of whether AC voltage or current is measured, pay attention to personal safety and do not touch it by hand.
