The CES-Consumer Electronics Show, which is a gathering place for black technology, has become a global event. In 2017, it attracted 170,000 visitors to visit this event. And to say that CES and the 3D world are more relevant than desktop 3D printers, scanning devices, and VR.
Gartner's report "Global 3D Printing Forecast 2016" pointed out that in 2016, 3D printer shipments exceeded 490,000 units, and global 3D printer shipments will grow by 108% on the basis of 2015. So, desktop-grade 3D printers are evolving into another kind of innovative force in a turbulent trend. At CES 2017, it was staged together with other technologies in the 3D world.

Ceramic resin
Ceramic printing has rolled up a small fresh wind in the industry, 3DCeram, Lithoz, Roland DG and Admatec have brought their technology. The ceramic resin launched by Formlabs at CES 2017 has blown the wind even more violently.

The resin was born from the MIT experimental platform. Formlabs chief product officer Da? Vid Lakato believes that Form X ceramic resin is currently one of the most novel materials sciences in the field of 3D printing. Ceramic 3D printing allows the creation of complex geometric shapes and is manufactured at a level of complexity that is impossible with traditional ceramic manufacturing techniques.

Small commercial scan
Fuel3D is an innovative 3D capture and imaging company. At the ongoing CES 2017, the company exhibited two new 3D scanners, Fuel3D 360 Scanner and Fuel3D Desktop Scanner. The Fuel3D 360 Scanner rapid imaging and measurement system can capture high-resolution 3D data in just 0.3 seconds. In addition to the shape, the device can accurately record colors. Fuel3D Desktop Scanner can capture 3D data with an extremely high resolution (accurate to 0.045mm) in 0.14 seconds. It is suitable for scanning complex-shaped objects such as human ears. It is suitable for the development of wearable devices such as custom earplugs.

Metal desktop printer
In October 2016, Markgorged launched Mark Two ’s next-generation product, the Mark X 3D printer, which also integrates Markforged ’s proprietary continuous fiber filament (CFF) 3D printing technology. Printable materials include Markforged ’s Nylon and Plastic materials such as Onyx, and fiber reinforced materials-carbon fiber, glass fiber, aramid fiber, etc. The device can be used in industries such as automobiles, robots, artificial limbs and sports equipment. At CES, Markgorged announced that Mark X will be extended to 3D printing for metals.
