Hi Doctor,
I recently picked up some large LCD TVs during a clearance event for an electronics retailer that went out of business. I’m planning to sell them online via eBay to make some extra cash. The issue is, I can’t seem to find boxes that fit these TVs—they’re absolutely massive! I’m really stuck on how to package them properly without breaking the bank. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Don’t worry though—there’s a straightforward way to handle this situation while keeping costs down. For a cost-effective solution, I’d recommend purchasing a roll of anti-static bubble wrap. This will not only shield the TV from physical scratches and dents but also prevent any potential damage caused by static electricity to its delicate components. Once the TV is wrapped, reinforce it further by placing two layers of heavy-duty double-wall cardboard sheets at both the front and back. Secure everything tightly using strong packaging tape to ensure the protective layer stays intact throughout transit.
This method essentially creates a custom-sized “box†around the TV without the hassle of finding a perfectly fitting standard one. It’s efficient, economical, and ensures your items arrive safely at their destination. If you anticipate shipping multiple units, consider investing in bulk materials to save even more money.
