Packaging Doctor

Hi Doctor,

I recently picked up some large LCD TVs during a clearance event for an electronics retailer that went out of business. I’m planning to sell them online via eBay to make some extra cash. The issue is, I can’t seem to find boxes that fit these TVs—they’re absolutely massive! I’m really stuck on how to package them properly without breaking the bank. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Best regards,

Matt

Hi Matt,

First off, thanks for reaching out with your packaging dilemma. It sounds like you’ve got quite the challenge ahead of you with those oversized TVs! Don’t worry though—there’s a straightforward way to handle this situation while keeping costs down. For a cost-effective solution, I’d recommend purchasing a roll of anti-static bubble wrap. This will not only shield the TV from physical scratches and dents but also prevent any potential damage caused by static electricity to its delicate components. Once the TV is wrapped, reinforce it further by placing two layers of heavy-duty double-wall cardboard sheets at both the front and back. Secure everything tightly using strong packaging tape to ensure the protective layer stays intact throughout transit.

This method essentially creates a custom-sized “box” around the TV without the hassle of finding a perfectly fitting standard one. It’s efficient, economical, and ensures your items arrive safely at their destination. If you anticipate shipping multiple units, consider investing in bulk materials to save even more money.

Good luck with your sales, and remember—if you ever encounter another tricky packaging scenario, feel free to reach out anytime!

Warm regards,

In-cabinet Trash Bin

Trash Can Slider for Kitchen Cabinet is the first application of a sliding cover structure in the household trash can filed. Its lid could be semi-automatically open and close. Beside this bucket with lid is equipped with punch-free hanging design. The hanging trash can can be hung on the kitchen cabinet door or wall by hook or removable adhesive strip, which is convenient for storing wet waste and effectively saving space. What's more, it is designed with washable inner bucket and odour filter placement to store a piece of filter inside to reduce the moisture and odours inside the bucket. Moreover, there is a few types of in-cabinet compost bins. Some can store a roll matchable trash bag inside. Some can place a roll kitchen paper inside.
