A few days ago, Nadir Gordon, a foreign fashion and textile design student, designed a set of 3D printed swimwear. As the name suggests, Waves' swimwear is inspired by the ripples created by the seawater hitting the coast.
Gordon tells 3D: "When I started learning 3D printing, I was attracted to this magical country. I saw the opportunity (I can) create clothing and accessories in an innovative way."
Also participating in the Waves project is 3D artist Jonathan Guerra. In addition to the Makerbot3D printer, he and Gordon also used a set of 3D software called Sketchfab. It is reported that Waves is composed of 14 3D printing modules. Although its shape looks very ornamental, to be honest, it is not practical at present. Its connection parts are not strong enough and are very easy to separate, that is, This is a set of swimwear that needs to be repaired frequently.
But Gordon also said that they will definitely build a second generation of Waves.
