Chinese ink production and sales booming

Based on the development of China's inks last year and the good momentum of development at the beginning of this year, industry experts predict that this year China's ink will continue to flourish.

Last year, the total output of China's inks increased by 9.1% from 2001 to reach 170.9 thousand tons, accounting for about 6% of the world's total ink production. Nine out of more than 300 companies in the country have a total output of more than 5,000 tons, and three companies have output of more than 10,000 tons. In January this year, the output reached 13,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 14.8%; in February, the output was 14,000 tons, an increase of about 40% year-on-year. Based on this, experts predict that the annual output may reach 185,000 tons.

In terms of demand, China is a vast consumer market. The packaging industry and cultural industry are at the peak of development. The demand for ink is very large and is expected to increase at a rate of 9% per annum. Second, the rapid development of printing technology has made ink more widely available and more frequent. In addition, the variety of domestic inks is increasing, and the quality is continuously improving. In recent years, there are also certain markets in foreign countries.
