"6 Sigma" Quality Management Research (4)

Step 5: Check the effect

Using the second and third-step methods to collect production data and analyze it, compared with the data before the improvement, whether it has been improved, or some places have put the wrong focus so that the improvement is not obvious.

Step 6: Institutionalize Effective Methods

When the improvement method is approved, the method is part of the production process and is written in the ISO9000 code. For example, materials are stored in warehouses and storage procedures, cleaning tape procedures, check the print sheet procedures, etc., are written as a flow chart. And use the ISO method to monitor. In addition, other forms are also managed using the ISO method.

Step 7: Review the effectiveness and develop new goals

When the powder throwing problem is solved, the above method can be repeated to solve the color difference and other problems. When all problems are resolved, new goals will be set, such as how to reduce the internal defective rate, improve the quality stability and increase production. It is to use the PDCA cycle to achieve "Continuous Improvement" .

Example two:

In the seal box board, there are often glued water phenomenon, among which the problem is nothing more than: using the wrong glue, improper glue content, workers scratching the glue, and cutting too much when cutting the book.

We can use the first to third steps of the "seven-step approach" to collect and analyze the reasons. In the fourth step, we can formulate various codes and control charts ( Control Chart ) for monitoring. Of course, we can add new methods, such as silkscreen eraser, positioning tools, pneumatic press tools and so on. Finally, facilitate the use of the fifth to seven-step approach to assess and formulate relevant methods.

Example 3:

Word confusion and reversed pages.

Of course, we can use the "seven-step approach" to solve the above problems. However, if we can start with negotiated production (for example, adding a mark on the edge of each page/each book when we pass through the film, we can immediately notice if an error occurs in the process of plywood.) The cost of improvement.

V) Summary:

The development of the printing industry cannot be achieved by using "natural fragrance" methods. We must follow the current popular product requirements. Therefore, each printing company has followed the ISO9000 code, and we must also abide by the " Code of Conduct" defined by the United States and their Various types of safety standards. In addition, each company must manage thousands of employees, of course, a lot of spending. Only by improving quality and controlling costs can we increase margins. Following the quality requirements of ISO9000, the quality requirements of " 6Sigma" were issued. Although " 6Sigma" does not need to obtain certificates like ISO, our guests are asking for their perfect products.

To be honest, " 6Sigma" is not a groundbreaking new quality management product. We do not want to be scared by Motorola's statistics and consultants who promoted " 6Sigma." It is actually a continuation of Total Quality Management . In contrast, " 6Sigma" is an outside (or slogan), and TQM's quality management. After the emergence of " 6Sigma," there will naturally be other more successful examples, such as " 8Sigma", " 10Sigma", " 12Sigma" and so on.

Of course, if we can pay millions to hire “ 6Sigma” consultants to improve our products, then it would be best if we can . One we can show off our quality, enhance customer confidence, and attract more customers. Furthermore, we also require our suppliers to provide our corresponding services.

The spirit of " 6Sigma" is "Total Quality Management" , and the driving force of TQM is to keep it open to the outside world, knowing that it is difficult to do so; up and down, team spirit, full participation, up and down communication, quality control and "customer" Full satisfaction (TotalCustomerSatisfaction) and other techniques. The above methods, together with the statistical and regulatory methods used in Industrial Engineering , are not difficult to meet or even exceed the requirements of " 6Sigma" even if they do not use " 6Sigma" consultants .

In general, we must improve our quality to meet the requirements of our customers in order to gain a foothold in the market. 6Sigma's product requirements are the trend we must accept. Now we need to wake up. What methods should we use to face this new challenge? Moreover, some printing companies that do not have ISO9000 quality must start catching up on quality management, otherwise they will be out of touch with the new era.
