Test Method – Low Temperature Test Chamber According to GB/T 5135.1-2003 Standard
The sprinkler head sample was placed inside a low-temperature test chamber. The temperature within the chamber was kept at (-30±2)°C for a duration of 24 hours. After this period, the sample was taken out and allowed to return to room temperature, remaining there for another 24 hours. During this time, the coating or plating on the nozzle was carefully examined for any signs of damage, such as cracking or peeling.
Following the low-temperature test, all samples underwent a sealing test and a functional test under a pressure of 0.035 MPa. The results must meet the following criteria: There should be no cracking, peeling, or damage to the nozzle’s coating or plating. Additionally, all nozzles were required to pass both a seal test and a functional test under the same pressure. These tests ensured that the nozzles remained leak-free and operated smoothly during activation.
