Appendix 20 GB/T4857.4-92 "Pressure test methods for packaging and transportation packages"

The National Standard of the People's Republic of China Packaging Transport Packages Pressure Test Method GB/T4857.4-92
ISO2872-1985
Packaging-Transport packages Compression test method instead of GB4857.4-84

This standard is equivalent to using the international standard ISO2872-1985 "Packaging - complete, full-loaded transport package - pressure test".
1 Theme content and scope of application This standard specifies the main performance requirements, test procedures and test report content of the test equipment used in the pressure test of transport packages.
This standard is applicable to assessing the compressive strength of transport packages when subjected to pressure and the ability of packaging to protect the contents. It can be used as a single test or as part of a series of tests.
2 Quotation Standard GB/T4857.17 General Principles of Performance Test Outline for Packaging and Transportation Packages GB3538 Method of Marking Various Parts of Transportation Packages GB/T4857.2 Temperature and Humidity Control of Packaging and Transportation Packages GB/T4857.18 Packaging and Transportation Packages Prepare quantitative data for the performance test program
3 Test principle Place the test sample between two parallel platens of the tester, and then evenly apply pressure to record the load and platen displacement until the test sample breaks or the load or platen reaches a predetermined value.
4 test equipment
4.1 Pressure tester The pressure tester is driven by an electric motor, mechanically driven or hydraulically driven. The pressure plate type is such that one or two pressure plates can be moved at a uniform speed of 10±3 mm/min to exert pressure on the test sample.
The pressure plate should be leveled. When the pressure plate is placed horizontally, the difference between the level of the lowest point and the highest point of the plate surface should not exceed 1mm; the size of the pressure plate should be larger than the size of the test sample in contact with it. The maximum stroke between the two pressure plates should be larger than the test sample. the height of.
The press plate should be rigid. When applying 75% of the rated load of the tester to a 100mm x 100mm x 100mm hardwood block in the center of the platen, the deformation on any point on the platen must not exceed 1mm. This block should be strong enough to withstand this load without breaking.
The lower platen must be kept horizontal at all times. During the entire test, the horizontal tilt should be kept within two thousandths. The upper platen should be securely mounted and its horizontal inclination should be kept within two thousandths of the entire test; or the center of the upper platen should be mounted on a universal joint that allows it to tilt freely in any direction.
4.2 Recording device The recording device shall record a load error which does not exceed ± 2% of the applied load. The platen displacement error is ±1mm.
5 Test procedures
5.1 Preparation of test samples Prepare test samples according to the provisions of GB/T4857.17.
The number of test samples is generally not less than 3 pieces.
5.2 Number of each part of the test sample According to the provisions of GB3538, the number of parts of the test sample is numbered.
5.3 Pretreatment of the test sample According to the provisions of GB/T4857.2, a condition is selected for the temperature and humidity pretreatment of the test sample.
5.4 Temperature and humidity conditions during the test The test shall be carried out at the same temperature and humidity as the pretreatment. If the same cannot be achieved, the test should be carried out as close as possible to the temperature and humidity conditions.
5.5 Selection of test intensity values Select test strength values according to the provisions of GB/T4857.18.
5.6 Test Procedure
5.6.1 Plane Pressure Test
5.6.1.1 Record the temperature and humidity of the test site
5.6.1.2 The test sample is placed in the center of the lower platen in a predetermined state so that the upper platen is in contact with the test sample. The initial load of 220N was added first to make the test sample well contact with the upper and lower platens. Adjust the recording device as a starting point for displacement records.
5.6.1.3 Move the platen distance evenly at a speed of 10±3mm/min. Should be pressurized to one of the following conditions:
a. The compressive load does not reach the predetermined value, the test sample is broken;
b. Test sample size Deformation or compressive load reaches a predetermined value.
5.6.2 Diagonal and diagonal pressure tests If it is necessary to measure the diagonal and diagonal pressure resistance of the specimen of test 2, the pressure tester shall not be allowed to tilt freely.
The test procedure is the same plane pressure test.
5.6.3 After the test, check the damage of the packaging and contents according to relevant standards and regulations, and analyze the test results.
6 Test report The test report includes the following:
a. The name, specification, model, quantity, etc. of the contents; if using a simulated content, it should be described in detail;
b. The number of test samples;
c. Describe in detail the name, size, structure and material specifications of the packaging container, attachments, cushions, supports, fixing methods, sealing, bundling conditions and other protective measures;
d. The mass of the test sample and contents, in kilograms;
e. Pretreatment temperature, relative humidity, and time;
f. Temperature and relative humidity of the test site;
g. The state of the test sample during the test; the test phase during the series of tests;
h. Description of test equipment and instruments;
i. Each test sample is subjected to pressure and deformation curves or data and the duration of the load during the test;
j. Record any observed phenomena that may help to interpret the test results correctly;
k. Record the test results after the test;
l. Present the test result analysis report;
m. Explain the difference between the test method used and this standard;
The test date, the tester's signature, the test unit stamped.
