Bouldering assuring skills

The worst bouldering I've ever seen is sure to be in Hueco Tanks, Texas. At the moment, my hands still struggling at two unimaginable friction points, close to the top of the Best of the West; and the next second, my back slammed into the ground violently. My ensurer did not feel embarrassed about his "credit." In fact, he did not move even half an inch. I flattened him in the sea and knocked him to the ground. In the end, both of us were lying flat, and I was distorted with pain. He was swollen with a bruised face and kept shaking.

It is very important to ensure good bouldering. Although we have all ensured for others, we can only be fully surprised by the fact that we can take full attention and care in the process, and even those who can do bouldering to ensure proper bouldering. The lesson I learned at Hueco was that an ignorant bouldering ensurer, even if he was brave and courageous, would never be able to replace the skilled guarantor.

Wrong bouldering ensures that there is misunderstanding of the guarantee. The surer does not need to “catch” the fallen boulderers, but instead guides them to a safe landing point, determines that the boulderers are on the ground, and at the same time, makes them fall as slowly as possible to mitigate the impact. hurt. The first step in ensuring good bouldering is to be in the right place. Stand one step or so after the possible drop position, as the boulders move. Your knees and elbows must bend slightly to withstand the impact of a fall; note that sprains on the fingers are common to ensure injury. Don't keep staring at the hands of the boulders and focus on the boulders' hips or their backs to provide the necessary support at all times.

As an excellent ensurer, you must be skilled in the above bouldering to ensure the skills, so that the boulders can rest assured that the dangerous fall, big dyno and other dangerous actions. However, your surety must not neglect the danger that bouldering may bring. Remember that whenever you have a serious fall, you not only put yourself in a crisis but also hurt your surety. Be cautious, discuss each route and possible danger with your surety, and know when to retire.

Fork lift
When you are ensuring a more overhand, medium-height problem, target the boulders on both sides of the upper part of the back, which is about the underarms. This will keep the boulderers upright when they fall. Keep your outstretched hands as close to the boulders' back as possible to minimize the acceleration when they fall.

Cradle spot
Faced with a lower position and a more rugged topography, you cannot provide fork lift guarantees for boulders.
At this point, you should stand or kneel on one side of the boulders, bend your arms slightly and place them a few inches behind the boulders' back to provide support when the boulders fall.

Hip spot
This method is used to ensure that the position is relatively high, the terrain is more flat, and the boulder is more likely to fall on the ground. Extend your hands as close as possible to the boulders' hips and move with them. When a boulderer drops, hold his buttocks and guide the boulder to land in a safe area.
