Japan launches hygroscopic plastic packaging

Recently, a Japanese company developed a hygroscopic plastic package that has moisture absorption capacity and good water retention capacity, does not generate water droplets and liquefaction after moisture absorption, and has good heat sealability, and can be compounded with materials with low water permeability. The inner layer is hygroscopic so as to block the entry of external moisture and keep the inner layer dry.

When this moisture-absorbing plastic is used as a moisture-proof packaging, no desiccant needs to be additionally provided, which facilitates mechanization of the packaging, and avoids the occurrence of a drop in the quality of the product caused by the dispersal of the solid desiccant or liquefaction or accidental eating.
