However, on the whole, China's papermaking machinery products are still basically in the early and mid-80s levels, with small product specifications, low speed, poor automation, and poor adaptability to process performance, especially the lack of adaptation to wood-based products. Large-scale, high-efficiency, high-quality, high-level automation products are needed for large-scale pulp and paper mills and high-grade paper production. In terms of pulping, the vertical continuous cooking equipment suitable for wood pulping has not yet become a climate. The high-level large-capacity production system for chemical mechanical pulping equipment and the equipment for waste paper processing pulping systems with a daily processing capacity of 250 tons or more are not yet complete. Bleaching system ClO2 preparation equipment and equipment suitable for medium and high concentration H2O2 bleaching are still not perfect; for chemical recycling of pulping waste liquor treatment, the weeding pulp alkali recovery equipment has its own characteristics and is relatively mature and needs further improvement. Although the alkaline recovery equipment of the slurry system can be supplied as a complete set, it has yet to be further developed for the newly developed black liquor heat treatment, super-concentration, and new-type high-efficiency energy-saving lime kiln. In terms of papermaking, the paper machine can only provide products with a width of 5 meters or less, a speed of 800 meters/minute, a coating machine of 4 meters or less, and a speed of 500 meters/minute or less. Papermaking equipment, high speed rewinders, calenders, paper cutters, etc. are all at low levels, performance is not stable, and production requirements are not met. Papermaking and coating systems have generally adopted controllable medium-high rollers, soft calendering, etc., which are generally not mature products. If it is developed with new technologies in the world and has been applied in the market, such as diluted headboxes, various vertical or horizontal screen forming, shoe presses, high-speed size presses, soft calendering, and effective Compared with more than 10 new technology equipments such as tension and tightness control rewinding machines, our gap is even greater.
2 Development trend of the paper industry and its requirements for equipment In terms of total volume development, it is estimated that the output of paper and paperboard will reach 38 million to 40 million tons by 2005, and is expected to reach 51 million tons in 2010, and is expected to reach 60 million in 2015. 65 million tons, that is, more than 10 years of production doubled from 2000. Other applicable technologies for the development of new raw materials, new pulp types, various chemical additives, coatings, waste paper processing, fiber recycling, pollution prevention, and environmental protection.
● Product structure: Diversification, increasing effective market supply, and adapting to the needs of diversified consumer structures (paper and paperboard products are becoming thinner, higher quality, more variety, etc.), and mid-to-high-end products will be from the year 2000 50% increase to 90%.

3 The focus of the current localization equipment development Due to the constraints of China's papermaking raw material structure and funds, the paper industry will continue to be large and medium-sized in the coming period, with a medium-sized structure. To this end, papermaking equipment manufacturing industry should take effective measures to accelerate the development of large-scale modern products while striving to improve and improve the level of medium-sized papermaking machinery products and form a complete series. The development of current products must be based on a practical and realistic approach, fully taking into account the achievability and closely integrated with advanced process technologies, manufacturing technologies, and control technologies, toward large-scale, high-efficiency, high-quality, low-consumption, optical-mechanical-electrical integration and Eco-friendly development.
