The United States Sara Lee Group recently introduced a Quick `nEasy Convenient Cake Paste. These pre-made pastes are packaged in a 1 lb. or 3.5 oz. upright Doyn edge folded film bag, divided into chocolate and butter, and can be made into 12 cupcakes or a single layer cake. All the consumer has to do is open the pouch, squeeze the paste into a baking tray, and then level it out. According to the type of cake to be made, there are two different ways to open the bag. You can cut the top of the whole bag and pour the product out to make a single-layer cake, or you can just cut a small hole in the corner and squeeze it into the cupcake mold. Unlike other similar products, the product is not a dry mix, but is sold in the supermarket's frozen area, just next to the pastry dough. The author was told that although this frozen, squeezing and roasting cake paste has been popular in Europe, it was the first time in the United States. Sara Lee said further product and packaging details are still in development.
