Metso Finland to Supply New Paper Machines in the Spring

Finland's Metso will supply a new type of paper machine manufactured at UPM's Rauma plant.

The new Super Calender (SC) magazine paper production machine manufactured by the Rauma plant will not only improve the quality of paper, but also increase the annual production capacity to approximately 30,000 tons. This modified machine will begin to supply the market next spring and will be priced at more than 20 million euros.

Metso Finland is a global supplier of industrial machinery and systems, as well as a provider of technical and repair parts market services. The company's core business is fiber and paper technology. UPM's Rauma plant manufactures four types of paper machines, two of which are used to produce light-coated magazine paper (LWC) and the other two are used to produce supercalendered magazine paper.
